Nonesuch Records release two new Wilco collections in conjunction with the influential Chicago band's 20th anniversary. The first, What's Your 20? Essential Tracks 1994-2014, is a 2-CD compilation of essential tracks culled from the band's eight studio albums plus two songs from Mermaid Avenue, the collection of Woody Guthrie-penned tunes set to music by Wilco and Billy Bragg. The second, Alpha Mike Foxtrot: Rare Tracks 1994-2014, is a 4-CD/4-LP-Box-Set of rare studio and live recordings collected from the band's extensive audio archives. Alpha Mike Foxtrot features 64 pages of liner notes that include track-by-track recollections from Tweedy, notes by band members Nels Cline and John Stirratt, and reflections from members of Wilco's extended professional family. The booklet also showcases dozens of archival and never-before-seen photos from a wide array of photographers chronicling all phases of the band's career. Both albums are available now and you can preview the tracks right here.
Nothing Has Changed collects together for the first time the definitive collection of David Bowie's music from 1964 to 2014. Nothing Has Changed (named after a lyric from the 'Heathen' album opener Sunday ) compiles tracks from every period of Bowie's career from his earliest incarnations with 'Liza Jane' and 'Can't Help Thinking About Me' right up to James Murphy's 'Hello Steve Reich Mix' of 'Love Is Lost' from last year. The album is available in three formats: Standard 2CD, Deluxe 3CD and the Vinyl Edition. Each edition features it's own variation of the artwork and for those who pick up the album early we will make sure you don't miss out on the other images by providing you with an exclusive Free Lithograph which conveniently features all three covers.
TV On The Radio who release their new album Seeds. The album includes the single Happy Idiot which ignites a hearty introduction to Seeds, catapulting out of the gate with an earnestly frenetic beat over a sweet sweet chorus of resignation. One thing that remains a constant with TV on the Radio is that there is no constant, and one curveball trounces another on Seeds. Seeds was recorded at Federal Prism in Los Angeles and produced by guitarist David Andrew Sitek. The album is available now and you can watch the rather cool Speed Racer inspired video for Happy Idiot here.
'From The Vault' is a new series of live concerts from The Rolling Stones archive which are getting their first official release. 'L.A. Forum Live In 1975' is the second title in this series. The Rolling Stones 'Tour Of The Americas 75' was the band's first tour with new guitarist Ronnie Wood. Even before the dates started there were dramatic scenes in New York City at the official tour announcement when the band unexpectedly turned up on a flatbed truck to play 'Brown Sugar'. After a couple of low key warm-up shows in Louisiana the tour took in 44 dates between the 3rd June and the 8th August 1975. They settled into the L.A. Forum for a five night stint from July 9th to 13th and this concert film features the show from July 12th. The footage has now been carefully restored and the sound has been newly mixed by Bob Clearmountain for this first official release of the show.
Roughly timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of Beatlemania, The Art of McCartney is a lavish celebration of all things Paul. Weighing in at three discs and 42 tracks in its grandest incarnation [Deluxe w/DVD], the set is 34 tracks at its slimmest [Standard Edition]. In both cases, that's plenty generous but it nevertheless only skims the surface of a very rich, very deep songbook that's developed over the decades.
Plus there are other great, new releases including Atlanta-based hard rock quintet Manchester Orchestra who release HOPE, a startling re-imagination of COPE, their most recent album, issued earlier this year. Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is the Lorde curated soundtrack to the hit film and features tracks from Lorde, The Chemical Brothers, Chvrches, Bat For Lashes and more. British pop superstars One Direction release their eagerly anticipated fourth studio album, Four, the follow-up to their third album Midnight Memories, the world's bestselling album of 2013. Across its 17 tracks and 69 minutes, pom pom is unfiltered Ariel Pink, featuring infectious tales of romance, murder, frog princes and Jell-O. The record sees the Los Angeles native strike it out alone, returning to the solo moniker he has adopted for well over a decade. Depeche Mode Live in Berlin was recorded on location at the O2 World Berlin on November 25th and 27th, 2013 during the Depeche Mode's extremely successful Delta Machine Tour which saw them play to over 2.4 million people in 32 countries. And Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 1 1973-1984, is a boxed set comprised of remastered editions of the first seven albums recorded and released by Bruce Springsteen for Columbia Records between 1973 and 1984. All of the albums are newly remastered (five for the first time ever on CD) and all seven are also making their remastered debut on vinyl. The seven albums are recreations of their original packaging and the set is accompanied by a 60 page book featuring rarely-seen photos, memorabilia and original press clippings from Springsteen's first decade as a recording artist. Acclaimed engineer Bob Ludwig, working with Springsteen and longtime engineer Toby Scott, has remastered these albums, all newly transferred from the original analogue masters using the Plangent Process playback system. The Box Sets are available as CD and Vinyl versions.
Plus, The Chills, Ty Segall, Fugazi, Drive-By Truckers, Bryan Ferry, Nickelback, Travis Barker & Yelawolf, Exit Verse, Warsawwasraw, Crash Midnight, Brooke Fraser, The Ghost Inside, Old 97s, Defeat The Low, XTRMST, Thompson, Bloodbath, Christmas At Downton Abbey, William Onyeabor, and Basement Jaxx.

LOOKING AHEAD OUT NEXT WEEK
Looking ahead to next week's chart, we are excited to present an Early Listen for Biophilia Live, the concert film by Nick Fenton and Peter Strickland that captures the human element of Bjork's multi-disciplinary multimedia project: Biophilia. recorded live at Bjork's show at London's Alexandra Palace in 2013, the film features Bjork and her band performing every song on Biophilia and more using a broad variety of instruments - some digital, some traditional and some completely unclassifiable. The film has already been hailed as "a captivating record of an artist in full command of her idiosyncratic powers" (Variety) and "an imaginative stand-alone artwork" (Hollywood Reporter) and is a vital piece of the grand mosaic that is Biophilia. The album is available now for Pre-Order and you can watch the Trailer Video here.
On August 19, 2013, Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit, stepped out onto the stage in front of a live audience in Austin, TX to film his first appearance on the longest running original music series in the U.S., Austin City Limits. Foo Fighters release their new album Sonic Highways for which they tapped into the musical heritage and cultural fabric of eight cities--Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington, DC and New York--basing themselves at a legendary studios integral to the unique history and character of each location. One song was recorded in each city, every song featuring local legends sitting in, and every lyric written in an unprecedented experimental style: Dave held off on putting down words until the last day of each session, so as to be inspired by the experiences, interviews and personalities that became part of the process. For the Vinyl release there are multiple covers available, representing the Cities in which the album was recorded. They all fit together to create some stunning artwork. Try to track them all down if you dare.
Lost On The River: The New Basement Tapes is a music event 47 years in the making. It's an historic album project from five of music's finest artists -- Elvis Costello, Rhiannon Giddens (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Jim James (My Morning Jacket) and Marcus Mumford (Mumford & Sons) -- in unique collaboration with a 26-year-old Bob Dylan. Produced by project creator T Bone Burnett, the album was recorded in March, 2014 at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, where the artists and Burnett convened for two weeks to write and create music for a treasure trove of long-lost lyrics handwritten by Bob Dylan in 1967 during the period that generated the recording of the legendary Basement Tapes. The collective completed and recorded dozens of songs, 15 of which appear on this album. The album is also available as a Deluxe Version and Vinyl which both add an extra 5 tracks. Watch the video for the recent single Spanish Mary here.
My Favourite Faded Fantasy is Damien Rice’s first collection of material in eight years and was produced by Rick Rubin and Rice himself. It is a selection of songs, which Rice says are “sung straight into the metaphorical mirror.” Intimate, frank and revitalized by making music again, My Favourite Faded Fantasy is a record that accepts one’s faults but also begins, perhaps, to appreciate one’s ability to grow up. The recording process began in Los Angeles and finished up with a cast of friends and local musicians against the stunning backdrop of Reykjavik, Iceland.
The Endless River represents a return to the creative principles that informed the writing process that produced Pink Floyd classics like Echoes, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Animals. In early 1993, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright set up their equipment in their own Britannia Row Studios in Islington and created more than hundred pieces of music by jamming together, interacting with each other's performances and recording the results. The Album is also available as a Deluxe Casebook Edition with Blu-Ray, a Deluxe Casebook Edition with DVD and a 180gm Gatefold Vinyl.
Three previously unreleased Queen tracks featuring late singer Freddie Mercury spearhead an exciting new Queen album, Queen Forever. The tracks include a long anticipated song from Queen and Michael Jackson, 'There Must Be More to Life Than This,' a previously unfinished Mercury-Queen track 'Let Me In Your Heart Again' originating from the band's The Works album recording sessions, and a new stripped-down ballad version of Mercury's first solo hit, his Giorgio Moroder collaboration, 'Love Kills.' The album is also available as an extended 2CD Deluxe version.
Rhubarb Rhubarb was recorded at the Flesh & Bone and The Premises studios in east-London with producer Oli Bayston (Boxed In) and features the single Stunners. The album is the follow up to Voyeurs 2013 critically acclaimed debut album ‘Clarietta’. Explaining the title of the album, Charlie Boyer said: “People in playhouses have been using Rhubarb Rhubarb for centuries, it’s an old thespian trick. Actors would repeat the phrase to conjure up an angry mob. They believe that mumbling or screeching Rhubarb Rhubarb has the same confused qualities as an indistinct muttering or even a faraway outrage, it is used keenly wherever the script will allow.” The album is available now for and you can preview the tracks as well as watch the video for the single Stunners here.
Even before Colette and Hannah Thurlow wrote their new album, the London-based sisters’ atmospheric, imaginative and thrilling vein of rock music under the name 2:54 was already a force to be reckoned with. But the events that tested their commitment and resilience have upped the ante, to produce the magnificent drama and beauty of The Other I. From the expansive, tempo-shifting opener ‘Orion’, and the pining roots of ‘The Monaco’ to the ambient haunts of ‘Tender Shoots’ and the shape-shifting tour de force of ‘Raptor’, the album significantly widens the net beyond the achievements of 2:54’s self-titled debut. The album is available now and you can also watch the video of the single Blindfold here.
IX is ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead's ninth album and first since 2012's Lost Songs. The record was produced by Chris "Frenchie" Smith at Sonic Ranch Studio in Texas. Read what the band had to say about the new album: 'From the crowded streets of Phnom Penh to the vast empty landscape of West Texas...we have cut through...burned through...and followed through to reach you...From the heat of the desert...to the heat of your city's sprawling squall...This transmission is here to transport and ruin you. It is the release of your mortal coil...Just let the rain wash it away from the mountains...down to the motherfucking sea...wash it away ...blow it all away and check this moment out.' The album is available now and you can watch the video of the lead single The Ghost Within here.
Plus there are other great, new releases including Rochester NY band Such Gold with their new album The New Sidewalk. Producer Bill Stevenson comments, This is one of the best records that I've worked on in the last five years. These kids shred balls. Three-time GRAMMY winners and multi-platinum artists Zac Brown Band release their Greatest Hits So Far. Antemasque, the brand new project from the creative duo of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, formerly of At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta! release their debut album Antemasque which features Dave Elitch on drums and Marfred Rodriguez-Lopez on bass with contributions from Flea! Turning is a concert film documentary captured during the critically acclaimed tour of Europe by Antony and the Johnsons and Charles Atlas during the fall of 2006, it explores the heart and experience of that series of performances. Legendary British singer Marianne Faithfull celebrates her storied career's 50th anniversary with the release of Give My Love to London. The Beauty Of Independence is the first commercial release from G-Unit since the group reunited earlier this year! And with a bold, confident voice that commanded listeners to take notice and a body of work boasting some of the most upbeat and romantic recordings of the past three decades, Whitney Houston (1963-2012) has long solidified her place as one of the 20th century s most significant performers. But her ability to stun live audiences with her powerful vocal gifts has never been documented on an official release - until now. Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances will capture decades of live recordings and unforgettable memories of a true music legend..
The two-album project that explored drastically different sounds was a massive undertaking, and now Kevin Devine continues his support of Bulldozer and Bubblegum with the release of a 7” single, featuring the song She Can See Me, which was the only track Devine wrote twice–one version for Bulldozer, and one for Bubblegum. She & Him release their latest single Stars Fell On Alabama which is taken from their forthcoming album Classics (Due 12/02)

The Velvet Underground's classic self-titled third album, released in March 1969, by MGM, was a departure from the band's first two albums in more ways than one. Gone was co-founding member John Cale, and in his place was a 21-year-old with Long Island roots named Doug Yule, who stepped right in. The record was also a stylistic leap, as Lou Reed describes it in Rolling Stone editor David Fricke's liner notes, 'I thought we had to demonstrate the other side of us. Fricke calls it 'a stunning turnaround… 10 tracks of mostly warm, explicit sympathy and optimism, expressed with melodic clarity, set in gleaming double-guitar jangle and near-whispered balladry. Or as the late rock critic Lester Bangs put it, 'How do you define a group like this, who moved from 'Heroin' to 'Jesus' in two short years?'
Twenty years ago, Dave Matthews Band's Under The Table And Dreaming introduced the Virginia-based quintet to a national audience with an alternative, folk-tinged approach to pop/rock music that resonated in a post-grunge world. The video was shot by award- winning director Dawn Shadforth (Florence & The Machine, Charlie XCX, Kylie Minogue, Oasis) in Los Angeles, California. Truly a special treat for Selena's fans. FOR YOU also features two other previously unreleased songs, 'Do It' and a Spanish version of 'More,' as well as new mixes of 'My Dilemma' and 'Forget Forever.'$18.98 $16.98

In 1974, Jethro Tull announced plans for WarChild, a multi-faceted project that was to encompass a feature-length film, a soundtrack album, as well a new album from the band. The Coen Brothers' 1998 film noir spoof, The Big Lebowski, with Jeff Bridges' shaggy title character, 'The Dude,' has gained a fervent following, complete with annual conventions, where phrases like 'The Dude will abide' have entered the vernacular. With the Coens' typical care and love of music they demonstrated throughout their diverse career, The Big Lebowski soundtrack has become just as much of a cult classic as the film itself. Album highlights include songs accompanying a trio of bowling scenes: Bob Dylan's New Morning track, 'The Man In Me' over the title credits, the Busby Berkeley-influenced psychedelia of Kenny Rogers and the First Edition's 'Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition is In') and the Gypsy Kings' redefining take on the Eagles' 'Hotel California,' as John Turturro licks his bowling ball. The classic album will now be made available for the first time on vinyl through Universal Music Enterprises.$18.98 $16.98
The legendary Keith Jarrett Trio, playing live at NDR Funkhaus, Hamburg. The trio with Haden and Motian formed in 1966 was Jarrett s first great band, his choice of players a masterstroke. With the bassist who had learned his craft in Ornette Coleman s band, and the drummer from Bill Evans s ground-breaking trio, Jarrett was able to explore the full scope of modern jazz, from poetic balladry to hard-swinging time-playing to ferocious and fiery free music, the improvisation including episodes with Keith on soprano sax. The interaction between the three musicians is uncanny throughout, reaching a peak in an emotion-drenched performance of Charlie Haden s Song for Che . ECM set up the 1972 tour of the Jarrett Trio, including the German radio concert from which this album is drawn. Manfred Eicher returned to the original tapes 42 years later, remixing the music for this edition in Oslo in July 2014, together with Jan Erik Kongshaug.$18.98 $16.98
Trio Mediaeval three Scandinavian women whose singing produces a sound of extraordinary and consoling beauty, says the Boston Globe offer a collection of polyphony from the medieval to the modern titled after the North Wind with their sixth ECM New Series release, Aquilonis. One can sense a reference in the title to the Nordic roots of the singers, as well as the bracing purity of their voices; moreover, the album s repertoire travels from Iceland to Italy, from north to south like the Aquilonis wind. In creatively realizing Icelandic chant from the Middle Ages, Trio Mediaeval accompany their vocals with discreetly textural instrumentation. The group also arranged 12th-century Italian sacred pieces and sings 15th-century English carols, with timeless folk melodies in the air, too. Eight years on from the widely-acclaimed Iron Stone recording, Scottish singer-songwriter, harpist and guitarist Robin Williamson returns with a new album of self-penned pieces thoughtful and touching meditations on love, destiny, the natural world, roads traveled, and the daily pleasures of being alive today. The album finds Williamson in fine voice and in best creative form on his diverse instruments, drawing inspiration also from the ingenious improvisational input of violist Mat Maneri (further developing the association initiated on Skirting The River Road) and percussionist Ches Smith (last heard on ECM with Tim Berne's Snakeoil band). Trusting In The Rising Light was recorded in Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales, in January 2014.$18.98 $16.98
In 1968, composer-trumpeter Michael Mantler recorded The Jazz Composer's Orchestra. Released by ECM, this classic, groundbreaking album of composition and improvisation featured Mantler conducting a large jazz orchestra that included some of the era's iconic free improvisers as soloists: pianist Cecil Taylor, cornetist Don Cherry, trombonist Roswell Rudd, saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, guitarist Larry Coryell, saxophonist Gato Barbieri. In the process of digitizing his catalog, Mantler reacquainted himself with early scores, eventually envisioning fresh performances of this vintage material. With The Jazz Composer's Orchestra Update, Mantler has re-imagined his 1960s music for the 21st century, with electric guitar and amplified string quartet added to the instrumentation. The Nouvelle Cuisine Big Band of energized young Europeans, conducted by Christoph Cech and featuring Mantler on trumpet, was recorded in these updated scores live at Vienna's Porgy & Bess club in 2013. Just as the original did in 1968, the result sounds stirringly contemporary, brimming with dark majesty and a bright sense of sonic possibility.

The Uprising Tour ran in Europe from May 30th to July 13th 1980 with five further dates in the USA in September. It was Bob Marley s last tour before his tragically early death in May 1981 at the age of just 36. The tour was in support of the 'Uprising' album released on June 10th 1980. A few days later on June 13th the live show from Dortmund s Westfalenhalle was filmed for the famous German music TV series Rockpalast and is presented here on DVD and CD for the first time with footage restored to the best possible quality. Bob Marley and the Wailers are on superb form and deliver a set of hit singles and classic album tracks. Marley s energetic, charismatic performance gives no indication that he was already ill with the cancer that would take his life less than a year later. With very few Bob Marley live concerts available on DVD and CD this will be a welcome addition for any fan.
