World On Fire is the new album from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators, and it comes on full throttle and in-your-face, a hunk of burning rock 'n' roll that takes no prisoners. Intensifying the band's sound and vision, it marks the follow-up to their successful and acclaimed 2012 debut, Apocalyptic Love, also released on SLASH's own indie Dik Hayd International label distributed through Caroline.
British indie rock trio Alt-J follow up their Mercury Prize winning debut An Awesome wave with more beautifully innovative music in the form of This Is All Yours. The album which was once again produced by Charlie Andrew is packed with lyrical playfulness throughout.
X sees Chris Brown re-teaming with Diplo (Usher, Britney Spears), who worked on 2011 s F.A.M.E, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned Brown a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. The production team includes Grammy-winning producer Timbaland (David Guetta, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas) and Danja (Mary J. Blige, P!nk), both of whom worked on 2012's chart-topping album Fortune, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and earned Brown a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
Oklahoma band Broncho craft sing-along anthems that combine punk and garage-rock. They combine the best elements of both genres: raw guitar chords and energy, plus DIY sentiment, but with hi-fi production. Harkening back to punk rock's glory days of the 70s, Broncho captures the aggression, authenticity and youthful exhilaration of a bygone era. With echoes of The Re-placements, Iggy and the Stooges and The Ramones, Broncho are a blisteringly cathartic flash of gritty, crunching guitar work supported by an assaultive rhythm section and made whole by songwriter Ryan Lindsey's aggressive, yelping vocal work. Their new album Just Enough Hip To Be Woman is available now for and you can check out their fantastic track It's On.
White Arrows, a five-piece who met in Los Angeles, began touring almost as soon as they formed, hitting the road with Cults, White Denim and The Naked and Famous, and performing at festivals like Coachella and Sasquatch. The transitory, continuous nature of touring meant that their 2012 debut album, Dry Land Is Not A Myth, was created in bouts, pulled together over the course of almost two years. After Coachella last year, the band finally returned home with no obligations set out before them and allowed the creative process to take them whenever it would. The new album In Bardo is available now and you can watch the hypnotic video to their track We Can't Ever Die here.
The garage-punk trio Le Butcherettes are like the brilliant offspring of surrealist Luis Bunuel and intrepid rock icon PJ Harvey. Led by 24-year-old vocalist/guitarist/pianist Teri Gender Bender (a recent transplant to L.A. from Guadalajara, Mexico) Le Butcherettes bring a brazen intensity and playful, hook-laden simplicity that hacks to pieces all forms of pretension and excess. The new album Cry Is For The Flies is available now and you can check out the incredible single Shame, You're All I've Got Left which features Shirley Manson here.
The Earls of Leicester is an all-star band, punningly named for Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt, whose popular and pioneering bluegrass inspired every one of the musicians here paying them tribute. Jerry Douglas was inspired to play Dobro because of legendary Flatt & Scruggs dobroist Josh Graves, and Johnny Warren, the Earls' fiddle player is the son of long-time Foggy Mountain Boys fiddler Paul Warren. Every instrument and every vocal hark back to that classic sound. 'This record is something I've been waiting my whole life to do,' veteran Dobro master Jerry Douglas says of this album.
Plus there are other great, new releases including three-time Grammy winning San Francisco band Train, with their new album Bulletproof Picaso which was produced by previous Train collaborator Butch Walker. Legendary wordsmith Mike Doughty releases Stellar Motel, his first album of all-original tunes since 2011's acclaimed Yes and Also Yes. Caustic Love is an album of unforgettable songs and choice grooves, topped with Paolo Nutini's gutsy voice, which just gets better and better with time and singles him out as arguably the best singer of his generation. Sepultura are one of the most successful acts ever to come out of Brazil with global album sales in excess of 30 million and are one of the most important and influential metal acts of their generation. The sheer volume of sound and the powerful presentation of the songs on Metal Veins: Alive At Rock In Rio (also available on Blu-Ray and DVD) sets this apart from any previous Sepultura concert release. Partners is Barbra Streisand's new album, featuring 12 inimitable new Streisand duets with the world's greatest male vocalists. This is the legendary artist's first duets album in more than a decade, and debuts new studio recordings of Streisand classics and others songs. And the legendary Jimi Hendrix offers up a couple of remastered albums from 1971, both available on CD for the first time. Rainbow Bridge and The Cry of Love have been remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog masters.
Plus, Mike Farris, Guardians Of The Galaxy [Vinyl Soundtrack], My Brightest Diamond, James, George Strait, Tim Mcgraw, Dead Man's Town: A Tribute to Born in USA, Flyleaf, Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood, For King & Country, The Madden Brothers, Philthy Rich, Ed Sheeran, Shellac, Freeway & The Jacka, Allah-Las, Grateful Dead, Motionless In White, Blake Mills, and Franz Ferdinand.
Ryan Adams releases his latest 7" single Jacksonville which is taken from his recent self-titled album Ryan Adams. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Teen Death have quickly made a name for themselves as one of the bands to watch calling this thriving scene home. BrooklynVegan described them best, saying "Teen Death sound like they've thrown Nirvana, Weezer, and Dillinger Four into a blender..." They pack the punk punch, yet maintain an infectious sense of melody, all layered over with a great grungy vibe. Their vinyl single Crawling is out now.

All three had previously collaborated with the Denver-based duo, as Carney produced their 2012 album Young & Old and Eno and Swift both lent production to Small Sound. The new album is available now and for a limited time exclusive to indie retail you can pick the CD up at a special low price.

Basements hung with fairy lights, 60s tape reels spinning antique spools, drums dusted with white powder. Gritty riffs and psych rock washes slither beneath airy, blissed-blank Nico vocals spinning spectral tales of shattered romance. A beautifully ruined pair – he a leather-clad glowering guitar phantom, she a glacial, broken bombshell – blow glitter at each other through the flashes from old cameras. This is the world of Coves, a classic psych-garage aesthetic vacuum-sealed forever in one time, one space. The space is Castle Grayskull, the live-in studio that musical mastermind John Ridgard helped build in a disused office in Leamington Spa and where heir debut album was recorded. And the time covers the duration of singer and lyricist Beck Wood's last big relationship, laid out in her songs from first flutter to final choke. Mac sang these songs with his mother, around a pump organ, and often pored through her notebooks, sang to himself and taught himself guitar chords. He would become one of a handful of musicians who helped create bluegrass music. The notebook songs, with lyrics written in his mother's handwriting from the radio in the 1930's, are folk songs, with roots in the British Isles. They are foundational to what is now known as country music, and they imparted in Mac Wiseman a love of song that would spur the longest recording career of any American singing star alive in 2014. Wiseman became known as ''the voice with a heart,'' and that heart for music began beating back in Crimora, Virginia as he lifted his mother's hand-written words in melody. The notebooks were gifts from a mother to her son.
