Poulenc and Françaix are among the most important French composers of the 20th century. From a synthesis of the most diverse influences, Poulenc developed a style of his own, which Françaix took up and enriched with elements of popular music. His concert activities have led him to most European countries, the Middle East, Japan, China, Canada, Argentina, Australia and the USA.
